Welcome to Ruby's Pearls Paperless Elecmag:
Ruby's is dedicated to fiction short stories, and may
frequently contain satirical spoofs, meant to amuse and
entertain. No offense is intended to any individual, group or
organization, and the broad spectrum of characterization is
intended to be so outlandish as to obviously establish its
humorous intent. Any resemblance to people, places or
associations, living or dead, active or defunct, is purely
coincidental.
So much for the disclaimer! What we like are humor shorts, mystery
shorts, and science fiction/horror shorts. We avoid graphic sex and
violence, but not to please Exon and his ilk. Ruby's Pearls is a
family publication, though my family at least tends to favor an
occasional decapitation.
To review our writers' guidelines, read a couple of back issues.
What you see there is what we like.
We don't pay for stories, but we also don't charge for the magazine.
Ruby's Pearls is available on many fine BBSes, including Ruby
Begonia's home BBS in Jacksonville, Florida, Ruby's Joint. Ruby
also has her own ftp site. To acquire RP by ftp:
ftp ftp.gate.net
login: anonymous
Password: [your e-mail address]
cd /pub/users/ruby
binary [very important; this ensures the .ZIP shows up as a .ZIP!]
get rubyvXX.zip (XX=any issue number up through 62, October 1996)
Ruby is also available at her very own home page:
http://www.gate.net/~ruby
If you have any additional questions, please contact me via e-mail
at mrhahn@netcom.com. We accept submissions via e-mail in ASCII or
uuencoded word-processor formats.
