  3.     Ruby's is dedicated to fiction short stories, and may
  4.     frequently contain satirical spoofs, meant to amuse and  
  5.     entertain. No offense is intended to any individual, group or
  6.     organization, and the broad spectrum of characterization is 
  7.     intended to be so outlandish as to obviously establish its  
  8.     humorous intent. Any resemblance to people, places or  
  9.     associations, living or dead, active or defunct, is purely  
  10.     coincidental.

  12.     So much for the disclaimer!  What we like are humor shorts, mystery
  13.     shorts, and science fiction/horror shorts.  We avoid graphic sex and
  14.     violence, but not to please Exon and his ilk.  Ruby's Pearls is a
  15.     family publication, though my family at least tends to favor an
  16.     occasional decapitation.

  18.     To review our writers' guidelines, read a couple of back issues.
  19.     What you see there is what we like.

  21.     We don't pay for stories, but we also don't charge for the magazine.
